8. San Diego Padres: Corey Ray, OF, Louisville

With the Padres owning three of the first 25 picks, there are rumors that they’d like to sign a player below the slot value at No. 8 in order to target high-ceiling prep players with their selections at No. 24 and 25.

Ray is a top five talent and would be a good value pick for the Padres.
