Anderson wins weekly conference award
- Updated: November 10, 2014
Milwaukee Panthers sophomore goalkeeper Liam Anderson has been named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday, winning this award for the second time in his collegiate career.
Anderson performed well in a must win situation last Friday night against the Detroit Titans, as a conference tournament berth was on the line for Milwaukee.
In that match Anderson recorded a clean sheet, making three saves on the night to assist the Panthers to victory.
Anderson will look to continue this performance, as Milwaukee looks to make a run in the conference tournament and earn the automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament. Their first test will be on Monday evening when they travel to Dayton, Ohio to play the third seeded, Wright State Raiders.
